We do this by being hands on with our distribution. Some just want a hug or shake your hand, others need someone to listen. Our volunteers pay attention to those needs while giving them the food they require. We also display our produce in a unique manner, creating a farmers market environment. We take the produce out, and display it in a style that’s pleasing to the eye. We do not hand out anything we would not eat ourselves. All of this is accomplished at St. John’s Lutheran Church, located at 1701 L Street, and four other mobile sites.
